From Sanding Engineering to the MASA Brand

MASA started as a sanding-equipment engineering team—not a trading desk—then built its own brand on that shop-floor experience.

Founder Lu Lunquan entered the sanding industry in the late 1990s and brings more than 20 years in woodworking-machinery R&D and manufacturing. Before MASA, the founding team supported sanding-machine development and production, including work with Xinma Woodworking Machinery.

In 2016, MASA opened in Lunjiao, Shunde—inside Foshan’s woodworking-machinery cluster—to design, build, and support sanding equipment under its own name.

The first exported machine went to the United States, and the first well-known customer was IKEA in Dalian.

MASA concentrates on workpieces where hand sanding struggles to stay consistent—profiles, edges, and complex forms—backed by abrasives from its own plant.

Applicable wide-profile models also carry CE attestation for European markets.
